Remote Terminal Unit (Model: RTU0253)
The RTU0253 is a remote monitoring and control unit that acts as a single, vendor-neutral gateway for telecom/power sites. It connects and manages multiple field devices - SMPS, batteries (BMS), DG sets, solar MPPT, energy meters, AMF controllers, sensors, and CCTV - regardless of make (Emerson, Exicom, Lineage, Eltek, Delta, etc.), consolidating them under one configurable platform. Instead of separate monitoring apps and OEM dependency for every device, protocols and parameters are integrated and configured at the RTU. It also doubles as an L2 managed switch, exposes an embedded web server for remote configuration, and provides a local LCD/keypad for on-site setup - cutting out site visits and OEM lag.
Key Features
- Multi-vendor device consolidation - connects many devices over a single channel and integrates any Modbus/ASCII/proprietary protocol at the RTU, removing OEM dependency.
- Rich I/O and comms - 8 programmable digital inputs, 2 relay outputs, 2 analog inputs (4-20mA/0-10V), 5 LAN ports, 1 RS-232, and 4 RS-485 ports.
- Built-in L2 switch & networking - managed switch functionality, dual IPv4/IPv6 stack, SNMPv3, NTP time sync, DHCP, and VLAN tagging — eliminating separate alarm gateways/LAN expanders.
- Remote configuration & management - configure, upgrade firmware, and troubleshoot all connected devices remotely via a web designer app, with no site visits.
- Configurable alarms & parameters - add/edit/delete alarms and parameters, with chattering suppression, alarm dampening, flood control, and parameter scaling (kW, kWh, run hours).
- Reliable, autonomous operation - hardware watchdog for automatic CPU reset (no site visit on hang), auto-detection of newly connected devices, and local LCD/keypad configuration.
